Regulatory Complexity. Expertly Navigated. Licensed Custom House Agents at all major Indian ports and ICDs — 40+ years of regulatory expertise across import, export, project imports, duty drawback, EPCG, advance authorisation, and specialist commodity clearances.

Service Overview

Where supply chains either flow or stall

Customs clearance is where supply chains either flow or stall. A missed document, an incorrect HSN classification, or a compliance oversight can delay cargo for days — with downstream consequences for your production schedule, sales commitments, or project timeline.

EWFCPL's Customs Brokerage division is staffed by experienced CHAs (Custom House Agents) who understand the intricacies of Indian import and export regulations across every major port and ICD. We process all clearances on ICEGATE EDI — fully digital, fully compliant, and engineered for speed without short-cuts.

Beyond standard clearances, our team specialises in project imports, EPCG licence management, advance authorisation compliance, duty drawback claims, and liaison with allied government agencies including FSSAI, Drug Controller, CPCB, and WPC.

Process Flow

How It Works

Every shipment moves through a structured, managed process — here is exactly what happens from the moment you engage EWFCPL.

  1. 01

    Document Receipt & Pre-Clearance Review

EWFCPL receives commercial documents: Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading / AWB, and any certificates required. Pre-clearance review conducted: HSN classification verified, valuation checked, applicable duty rates confirmed, and allied agency NOC requirements identified.

  2. 02

Bill of Entry / Shipping Bill Preparation

Import: Bill of Entry prepared on ICEGATE portal with correct HSN classification, valuation, and duty computation. Export: Shipping Bill prepared with correct export code, drawback or DEPB claim (if applicable), and all required declarations.

  3. 03

    EDI Filing & Assessment

Bill of Entry / Shipping Bill filed on ICEGATE. System assessment completed. Duty demand generated (for imports). Assessment queries or queries raised by Customs officer addressed promptly.

  4. 04

    Duty Payment Coordination (Import)

Duty computation confirmed with client. Duty payment authorised and submitted via ICEGATE payment gateway. TR-6 challan generated and attached to file.

  5. 05

    Customs Examination Supervision

If examination ordered, EWFCPL's CHA attends customs examination at port / CFS. Cargo presented and examined under supervision. Any examination queries resolved on the spot. Examination report recorded.

  6. 06

Out of Charge (OOC) / Let Export Order (LEO)

Import: Out of Charge obtained after assessment and examination. Cargo released for delivery. Export: Let Export Order obtained after cargo examination and verification. Cargo gated in for loading.

  7. 07

Delivery / Dispatch & Documentation Filing

Import: Cargo delivery arranged from port / CFS to client's premises. Full document set — BoE, assessment order, duty paid challan — archived digitally. Export: Shipping Bill copy archived. Post-export documentation filed.
